Greece by Gunilla Leuterio

Welcome to Greece, the land watched over by the powerful Greek gods and goddesses. The Greek's passion for the art runs strong, for several large buildings and sculptures were made of entirely white marble that's all chiseled by two hands. Many of the famous historians, scientists, and mathematicians were from Greece such as Aristotle, and Plato. Several people from around the world were influenced by the Greeks and followed their creative mind. Come and venture beyond the land and islands that make this once great empire and civilization.

Cities

Many temples and old buildings are found throughout this land. Unfortunately, many of the once great architectures tumbled down to rumble due to the invasions, earthquakes, fires, and erosion. You won't be discouraged because you could still see the ruins and reenvision what could've been there thousands of years ago.

Athens

Athens, Greece is the main capital of today. Even when you are sight-seeing the city, you should still be on the lookout for danger. Since several places are made of marble, it can be very hazardous because it can get very slippery especially in the rain. Pickpockets are often present in the metro systems, so be very alert for your wallets and precious items.

When you step into Acropolis, you are visiting one of the wonders of the world. The famous attraction, the Parthenon, has pristine white marble to the touch and lifts your soul. The Parthenon absorbs the warm, enviting sun's colors and the gentle, mysterious moon's light. Tourists were enlightened by this inner power of the blessed gods.
